The EJC is committed to serving the legal needs of the DC area’s most vulnerable communities.  In 2010, the EJC conducted more than 1,300 intakes at our Workers’ Rights Clinic and returned more than $744,000 in back wages and damages to low-income workers.  In addition, many other low-wage workers received unquantifiable benefits, including health insurance, won appeals from denial of unemployment benefits, and even a reinstatement.

In the first three quarters of 2011, the EJC conducted 940 intakes, including almost 600 new workers.  We have returned $278,726.34 to the pockets of workers, in addition to $6 million awarded to one of our clients in a sexual harassment case this spring.
